What Do I Do Now If I Have, or Someone I Care For Has A Spinal Cord Injury?
Before my Spinal Cord Injury, I remember thinking about any number of possible bumps, bruises or broken bones that I might suffer as part of an active outdoor lifestyle. I briefly considered how an accident mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking or surfing could result in something serious, but I never fully considered how devastating such an injury would be that results in paralysis or partial paralysis. Below is a roadmap of my experience with as much detail as I could think of in order to provide any help possible for others. One thing I ask however, is that you read this first:

Beware the inspirational disability story
There are so many around us who mean well but who just expect we will "get better". Sometimes, "this is as good as it gets". My story & this path is my experience. Everyone will experience something different, with different successes and different outcomes. There is not a perfect recipe for the perfect outcome.
